Dr. Scarpone received his B.S in molecular biology at OSU. He continued to Ohio University for medical school. He did his residency at the Medical Center of Beaver, PA, and his sports medicine fellowship at Marshall University. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Medicine, Div. of Sports Medicine Drexel University School of Medicine, Allegheny General Hospital Campus. He is active in teaching and research, especially as it applies to the healing of soft tissue injuries.
He is also a team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates and currently serves as the Jefferson County Coroner. Currently, He is the Medical Director of Trinity Sports Medicine. He has more than 20 years of experience in Sports Medicine and lectures across the country on Regenerative Medicine Procedures and Techniques. He was born and raised in the Ohio Valley where he resides with his wife, Dina, and has three children.
